Dearo Venture Capital Ltd has strengthened its leadership with the appointment of a new Board of Directors and unveiled a renewed strategic vision aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, investment and sustainable economic growth in Sri Lanka.
The announcement was made at a special media conference held at the company’s Head Office in Colombo, bringing together business leaders, investors, stakeholders, media representatives and members of the Dearo management team.
The newly appointed Board is chaired by K. M. M. Jabir, who serves as Chairman and Independent Non Executive Director. The Board also includes Neil Bogahalanda, Lalith Fernando, Muditha Welihinda and Shaheena Mohammed as Independent Non Executive Directors, alongside Prasanna Ranasinghe as Non Independent Executive Director.
The leadership team brings extensive experience across finance, banking, corporate governance, technology, risk management and human resources, strengthening Dearo’s capacity to pursue its long term ambitions.
Dearo Venture Capital has positioned itself as a catalyst for entrepreneurial development by connecting investment capital with business opportunities across sectors including tourism, agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing, education, engineering and services.
