CCC Spotlights Opportunities in UK’s DCTS

Published on

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) has praised the UK Government’s upcoming liberalised rules of origin under its Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS). Effective from early 2026, the reforms will allow Sri Lankan apparel producers to source up to 100% of inputs from global suppliers while keeping tariff-free UK access. The CCC said the scheme could boost competitiveness and open significant new opportunities for exporters seeking to strengthen their position in the UK market.
