The Sri Lanka Economic Summit, organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, is set to be inaugurated on 28 January at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, under the theme “Shaping Sri Lanka’s Future: Transformational Growth Rooted in Sound Economic Policies.”

On 29 January, the second day of the Summit, a key session titled “The Right Reforms for Transformational Growth” will delve into the Korean economic transformation story and its potential lessons for Sri Lanka. The session will explore medium-term opportunities for the country, highlighting public-private partnerships as a driver of growth.

Dr Kyungjin Song, The Asia Foundation’s Country Representative for Korea, will deliver the keynote address. With over 25 years of expertise in public service, international affairs, and economic diplomacy, Dr Song has held pivotal roles, including Chief Secretary for the Presidential Committee for the G20 Seoul Summit.

The high-profile panel will feature ADB Country Director Takafumi Kadono, John Keells Holdings Chairperson Krishan Balendra, Unilever Sri Lanka Chairman/CEO Ali Tariq, Colombo West International Terminal CEO Munish Kanwar, and Tundra Fund Founder Mattias Martinsson.
