The International Monetary Fund projects global economic growth of 3.1% in 2026, recovering to 3.4% in 2027. Its October World Economic Outlook forecasts inflation rising to 4.7% before easing next year.

The IMF warns that fiscal vulnerabilities and uneven resilience leave economies exposed to further shocks and difficult policy choices.
