Siyapatha Finance PLC has delivered a strong financial performance for the six months ended 30 June 2026, with total assets surpassing Rs. 104 billion and profitability recording significant year-on-year growth.

The company reported a profit after tax of Rs. 1.007 billion, representing a 43 per cent increase from Rs. 706 million during the corresponding period of 2025. Profit before tax rose by 38 per cent to Rs. 2.334 billion.

Commenting on the results, Siyapatha Finance Chief Executive Officer Mathisha Hewawitharana said the first-half performance reflected the company’s strategic foresight and commitment to sustainable growth. He noted that surpassing the Rs. 104 billion asset milestone, alongside improved asset quality, demonstrated the strength of its core operations and customer confidence.

Total interest income increased to Rs. 7.719 billion, while net interest income rose to Rs. 3.487 billion. The company also improved its cost-to-income ratio to 49 per cent, reflecting greater operational efficiency.

Asset quality strengthened during the period, with the gross Stage 3 loans ratio improving to 4 per cent from 8 per cent a year earlier.

Siyapatha Finance’s loan book expanded by 44 per cent to Rs. 99 billion, supported by recovering credit demand and a more stable interest rate environment. Customer deposits also increased to Rs. 42 billion.

The company expanded its island-wide branch network to 66 locations and maintained capital and liquidity levels above regulatory requirements.

Backed by the Sampath Bank Group, Siyapatha Finance is now looking to strengthen its digital capabilities, expand its reach and sustain growth through the second half of 2026.
