Dr Samantha Ratnayake Appointed President of SLITAD

Dr Samantha Ratnayake has been appointed President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD), the country’s premier professional body dedicated to learning, training and human resource development.

A respected academic, corporate leader and management professional, Dr Ratnayake currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM). He brings extensive experience in leadership development, organisational learning, talent management and executive education.

His appointment comes at a time when organisations are placing greater emphasis on workforce capability, continuous learning, leadership development and future-ready skills. Under his leadership, SLITAD is expected to further strengthen its contribution to advancing professional development, promoting best practices in training and development, and supporting human capital excellence across Sri Lanka.

Industry stakeholders have welcomed the appointment, expressing confidence that Dr Ratnayake’s academic expertise and professional experience will help elevate SLITAD’s role in shaping the future of learning and development in the country.
