The Export Development Board recently hosted the National Consultative Forum on the Strategic Export Development Roadmap 2026 2030 at its head office, bringing together senior government officials to align national priorities for export growth.

As Sri Lanka’s premier export promotion institution, the EDB is formulating the National Export Development Plan to guide export led economic transformation over the next five years, with a target of achieving US dollars 36 billion in export revenue by 2030. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mangala Wijesinghe presented the roadmap, outlining key strategic priorities. Central Bank Governor P. Nandalal Weerasinghe shared insights on the broader economic direction of the country.

Ministers Sunil Handunnetti, Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Eranga Weeraratne, and Treasury Secretary Dr Harshana Suriyapperuma emphasised the need for strong institutional coordination to strengthen the national export ecosystem.

The forum also marked the launch of the Export Performance Indicator and promoted Sri Lanka Expo 2026, scheduled to be held in June 2026 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, with over 150 senior officials in attendance.
