Founded in 1935, Mirotone is renowned for its innovation, craftsmanship, and trusted wood coating solutions across New Zealand and Australia. The acquisition includes 100% ownership of Mirotone, working capital infusion, and modernisation of manufacturing operations, enabling JAT to strengthen its presence across Australia, Europe, and the Americas.

Founder and Managing Director Aelian Gunawardene hailed the acquisition as a defining milestone in JAT’s transformation into a global coatings company. CEO Nishal Ferdinando added that the move propels JAT toward becoming a Sri Lankan multinational with a global innovation and manufacturing footprint.
