People’s Bank Opens Iconic ‘People’s Tower’ Head Office

People’s Bank unveiled its new head office, ‘People’s Tower’, on 7 October at Dr. Colvin R. de Silva Mawatha, Colombo 2, marking a historic milestone in its 64-year journey.

The 22-storey building, constructed in line with green building standards, reflects the bank’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and national progress.

Equipped with modern facilities including an auditorium, training college, medical centre, and digital banking services, the new headquarters strengthens People’s Bank’s mission to support Sri Lanka’s socio-economic development. Serving over 15.2 million customers and managing assets exceeding Rs. 3.7 trillion, the bank continues to play a pivotal role across key sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, and exports.
