Vogue Jewellers has appointed Sri Lankan cricket legend and former national captain Kumar Sangakkara as its brand ambassador, marking a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the jewellery house’s international presence.
The appointment comes as the six decade old Sri Lankan brand builds on its overseas expansion, following the opening of its first international showroom at Westfield Fountain Gate in Melbourne, Australia, in August 2025.
At the official signing ceremony in Colombo, Managing Director Anura Hemachandra described the partnership as an alignment of shared values, including excellence, integrity, craftsmanship and long term value creation.
Director Anuradha Hemachandra said the company intends to take its Sri Lankan jewellery legacy to international markets and compete alongside established global brands.
Sangakkara highlighted the importance of trust and shared values in building enduring partnerships, noting his respect for Vogue Jewellers and its longstanding reputation.
The occasion concluded with Anura Hemachandra presenting Sangakkara with a specially crafted golden cricket bat in recognition of his contribution to Sri Lankan cricket and international representation.
