Vish Govindasamy Takes on Deputy Chairman Position at Sunshine Holdings

Vish Govindasamy, a business leader with over 26 years at Sunshine Holdings PLC, transitions from Group Managing Director to Deputy Chairman starting January 25. His extensive leadership includes roles in the USA before joining the Sri Lankan conglomerate.

Govindasamy previously chaired the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Employer Federation of Ceylon. He presently serves on the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

His transformative role as CEO at Watawala Plantations contributed to its success, turning a government-owned entity into a leading regional plantation company. Known for creating renowned tea brands, Govindasamy’s significant career includes an MBA and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
