Gruppe Lighting Solutions Sdn Berhad was established in 1987, with our manufacturing plant located 45 kilometres away from Kuala Lumpur City Centre. We specialise in six key environmental sectors: street lighting, public lighting, sports lighting, architectural lighting, industrial lighting, solar lighting, and indoor lighting. Our manufacturing facility is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and is progressing towards ISO 26000.

We are highly specialised in energy-efficient LED lighting and solar lighting. Additionally, we excel in smart lighting solutions integrated with IoT and innovative capabilities.

Q: Great. Earlier in the discussion, we talked about your collaboration with the Samaiden Group. They shared why they chose to partner with you, highlighting your strengths. Could you tell us why you chose Samaiden Group for this venture?

This collaboration is indeed very interesting. We found a great synergy between Group A and Samaiden. Group A is very specialised in energy efficiency (EE), while Samaiden excels in renewable energy (RE). Essentially, when the sun is up, Samaiden’s expertise in RE takes the lead, and when the sun is down, Group A’s expertise in energy-efficient lighting comes into play. It’s a perfect combination.

Q: As a country, Sri Lanka aims to maximise its resources to the fullest. What are the economic advantages of using your energy-efficient and solar lighting solutions?

Firstly, we can deploy our cutting-edge smart solar lighting innovations within Sri Lanka’s industries.

Secondly, with smart lighting and renewable energy, we can significantly promote public safety and tourism by reducing crime, enhancing security, and creating a comfortable environment. Additionally, these solutions help reduce energy consumption and alleviate pressure on the national grid.

Q: When discussing cutting-edge technology, environmental impact is a major concern. What environmental benefits do your projects offer?

Our focus on energy efficiency reduces reliance on fossil fuels, extends product life cycles, and aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Q: You also offer smart city solutions. How can urban areas in Sri Lanka benefit from implementing Group A’s smart city solutions?

By adopting our cutting-edge smart lighting solutions, urban areas can enhance productivity, reduce energy consumption, ensure long-term sustainability, and facilitate technology transfer. This will also help up skill the local workforce and create new job opportunities.

Q: As consumers, we’re always concerned about the quality and reliability of the products we purchase. How does your organisation ensure these qualities in your products?

Our manufacturing facility is equipped with over 18 testing and quality control facilities that meet IEC international standards.

We also maintain rigorous quality control processes throughout production, ensuring that every material and product meets the highest standards.

Q: Sustainability is increasingly important. How does Group A Lighting Solutions incorporate sustainable practices into production?

We prioritise using recyclable materials and design products that are easy to maintain and future-proof, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Q: In discussing the benefits your organisation offers to Sri Lanka, you mentioned technology transfer. How will your technology contribute to technological advancements in Sri Lanka?

Our cutting-edge smart lighting solutions, backed by years of experience and expertise, will bring significant benefits to Sri Lanka. Our multidisciplinary approach, which combines engineering, science, architecture, and environmental compliance, ensures that our solutions are tailored to the unique needs of the Sri Lankan market.

Q: Given the ever-changing nature of global markets, how important are strategic collaborations for your organisation’s growth?

Strategic collaborations are crucial. In Sri Lanka, we leverage our experience, expertise, and investments to support local industries, reduce crime, promote tourism, and enhance the overall quality of life.

Q: Your organisation is a leader in your field, which is no small feat. How do you plan to use your experience and expertise to benefit Sri Lanka?

With our extensive experience, we’ve learned the advantages and disadvantages of various lighting solutions. Our expertise allows us to innovate and customise solutions that are perfectly suited to the Sri Lankan market, optimising costs and ensuring effectiveness.

Q: And with that, we come to the end of this episode by Global CEO Magazine. I believe we had a constructive and insightful discussion.

Thank you very much for joining us today and for sharing your knowledge on this important subject. We explored how our Malaysian partners can bring innovative, energy-efficient solutions to Sri Lanka and advance technology in the country.
