Strengthening Global Influence: Highlights from the 66th AGM of the National Chamber of Commerce

Under the theme “Building Alliances, Enhancing Global Influence,” the 66th Annual General Meeting of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka was held at The Kingsbury Hotel., Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The event was graced by Justice of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, President’s Counsel Hon. Yasanta Kodagoda, as the Chief Guest, while Deputy Minister of Industries and Enterprise Development, Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, participated as the Guest of Honour.
The keynote address by the Chief Guest was delivered under the theme “Uniting Against Corruption: Shaping the Integrity of Tomorrow.”
During the business session of the 66th Annual General Meeting, the following new office bearers were elected:
• President: Mr. Anura Warnakulasooriya
• Senior Vice President: Mr. Kavinda Rajapaksa
• Vice President: Dr. Lakmal Fernando
• Honorary Secretary: Mr. Easwaran Subramaniam
• Honorary Treasurer: Mr. Chamika Godamanna
A special recognition award was presented to former President of the National Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Deepal Nelson, in appreciation of his service, with the Chief Guest making the presentation.
