Sri Lanka Launches TechFront Fortnight to Power Digital Economy

The Digital Economy Ministry yesterday launched Sri Lanka TechFront Fortnight, running from 17 to 30 September as part of Digital Economy Month. The initiative aims to accelerate Sri Lanka’s journey towards a $15 billion digital economy by 2030. Deputy Minister Eng. Eranga Weeraratne said the fortnight provides a national platform to inspire innovation, empower youth, and showcase readiness for global competitiveness. Key events include Disrupt Asia, the Sri Lanka FinTech Summit, and the inaugural National AI Expo. The campaign highlights the Government’s vision to build a digitally empowered, inclusive economy with strong regional and global relevance.
