Published on

Sri Lanka Customs has collected more than 65% of its July revenue target within the first 14 days of the month, placing the Department on course to exceed its monthly target for the seventh consecutive month.

Official figures show Customs generated Rs. 125.2 billion by 14 July against a monthly target of Rs. 192.4 billion, reflecting continued strong revenue performance. Cumulative collections had also reached 68.2% of the Department’s full year target, demonstrating sustained momentum in Government revenue generation.

The strong performance follows a record Rs. 2.551 trillion collected in 2025, surpassing the revised annual target and recording a significant year on year increase.

For 2026, Sri Lanka Customs has set an annual revenue target of Rs. 2.207 trillion and remains confident of maintaining its strong collection trend.

The latest figures underline the Department’s continued contribution to fiscal stability while supporting Government efforts to strengthen public finances and sustain the country’s economic recovery.
