Sri Lanka Customs Achieves Record Monthly Revenue of Rs. 235 Billion in July

Sri Lanka Customs has recorded its highest-ever monthly revenue, collecting Rs. 235 billion in July, according to Director General Sunil Nonis. He highlighted that while surpassing Rs. 100 billion in 2023 was considered a major achievement, the July 2025 figure marks a historic milestone. Officials confirmed that vehicle imports accounted for the largest share of revenue, providing an exceptional boost. Alongside this record, Customs introduced a new digital record and notification system aimed at streamlining processes for importers and exporters, enhancing efficiency, and strengthening institutional performance.
