Sarvodaya Development Finance PLC has appointed Sashi Adele Schaffter as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director, effective 2 April 2026, strengthening its board with legal and financial expertise.

Schaffter represents the company’s shareholder, Janashakthi Ltd (JXG), and brings experience across corporate finance, advisory, and legal research. A UK-qualified Barrister, she was called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple with distinction.

She currently serves as Vice President – Corporate Finance at First Capital Holdings PLC, contributing to complex corporate transactions and strategic advisory mandates. Previously, she was an Apprentice Director at JXG, where she was involved in group-level strategic planning and organisational development.

Her academic credentials include an LLB (Hons) from SOAS, University of London, and an LLM from Queen Mary University of London. The company stated that her appointment will enhance governance and strategic oversight amid evolving industry demands.
