President’s Fund Scholarships Enhanced

The President’s Fund, overseen by the President and guided by the Secretary to the President, has announced an extension and enhancement of the scholarship program for 2021/2022. This initiative aims to aid financially challenged students across all provinces of Sri Lanka, ensuring they can pursue education unhindered.

In response to student requests, the President has increased the existing monthly allowance from Rs. 5,000.00 to Rs. 6,000.00, effective February 2024, providing additional support until they sit for the G.C.E A/L examination. 10 monthly installments have been paid out thus far.

Additionally, the President’s Fund will grant scholarships to 5,000 students with the highest qualifications in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level exam for 2022/2023. Each recipient will receive a monthly allowance of Rs. 6,000.00 until completing their school education, including the G.C.E. Advanced Level exam. The Fund is actively involved in regional selection processes across provinces, with scholarships anticipated upon conclusion.
