Niveyn Nanayakkara Appointed Executive Director Across Key LOLC Group Plantation Entities

Niveyn Nanayakkara has been appointed Executive Director to the Boards of Udapussellawa Plantations PLC, Hapugastenne Plantations PLC and Tea Smallholders Factories PLC, strengthening leadership across key plantation entities within the LOLC Group.

An emerging corporate leader, Nanayakkara plays a pivotal role in advancing digital transformation across the Group’s globally diversified portfolio. His cross-sector responsibilities reflect a strategic mandate to integrate technology-driven innovation into core business operations.

He currently serves on the boards of multiple LOLC Group companies, including those spanning energy, mobility, plantations and hospitality, contributing to strategic direction and governance.

At board level, he focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and supporting sustainable growth through the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, while advocating a “human-in-the-loop” approach that balances automation with oversight.

Nanayakkara holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Melbourne and has completed executive programmes in leadership and technology with Ernst and Young in collaboration with Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.
