A new partnership between the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) and the University of Essex aims to provide Sri Lankan students with globally recognised higher education opportunities.

The collaboration, launched at a special signing ceremony at Essex’s Colchester Campus, will introduce psychology programmes at NIBM in partnership with the UK university. NIBM Director General Dr D. M. A. Kulasooriya and Essex Vice-Chancellor Professor Maria Fasli led the event, highlighting the initiative’s significance in bridging Sri Lanka’s education system with international standards.

Dr Kulasooriya emphasised that this partnership marks a significant step in advancing higher education in Sri Lanka, offering students access to global academic networks and career pathways. Professor Fasli reiterated the shared ambition to empower students, fostering innovation and collaboration beyond borders.
