NDB Bank Wins Innovation Award at NBQSA 2024 for “TradeLink” Platform

Published on

NDB Bank recently won the National Best Quality Software Award (NBQSA) 2024 for its innovative “TradeLink” platform, recognising the bank’s dedication to advancing Sri Lankan digital banking. Organised by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT’s Sri Lanka section, NBQSA honours top ICT innovations in the country, and TradeLink stood out for its ability to streamline supply chain finance with a fully digital solution tailored for local businesses.

TradeLink, developed in-house, provides an efficient platform for suppliers, distributors, and corporates to manage trade-related transactions. It offers real-time funding, supply chain transparency, 24/7 access, and localised functionality, making it a cost-effective alternative to international platforms. This is NDB’s second consecutive win at NBQSA, following last year’s award for its “Secure360” program, further highlighting the bank’s leadership in digital innovation.

Lasantha Mathupala, AVP, IT at NDB, praised the team’s work on the scalable and secure architecture of TradeLink, while Rukmal Dharmadasa, Senior Manager of Channel Finance, emphasised its importance for corporate and SME clients. NDB Bank, the fourth-largest listed bank in Sri Lanka, remains committed to supporting economic growth and empowering businesses through advanced digital solutions.
