Michael Dell Donates Billions to Support New Child Investment Accounts

Published on

Entrepreneur Michael Dell and his wife Susan have pledged six point two five billion dollars to support the United States Invest America programme. Their donation will deposit two hundred and fifty dollars into individual investment accounts for twenty five million American children, complementing the Treasury’s one thousand dollar contribution for those born between 2025 and 2028. The funds, which must be placed in a stock market index fund, will be available at age eighteen for education, job training, housing or starting a business. Michael Dell said the initiative gives children a real chance at long term opportunity.
