LOLC Life and Pan Asia Bank Celebrate 11 Years at Sparkle of Excellence

Published on

LOLC Life Assurance marked 11 years of its bancassurance partnership with Pan Asia Banking Corporation PLC at “Sparkle of Excellence”, an evening recognising outstanding performance during 2025.

Established in 2015, the collaboration now covers 47 Pan Asia Bank branches, providing customers across Sri Lanka with access to life insurance through the banking network.

Senior executives, sales leaders, branch representatives and leading teams attended the celebration, which honoured employees supporting the partnership’s development.

Pan Asia Bank Director and Chief Executive Officer Naleen Edirisinghe highlighted the value of the relationship and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to pursuing further opportunities together.

Director, LOLC Life Assurance, Chairman, LOLC General Insurance, Kithsiri Gunawardena emphasised trust, mutual respect and cooperation, while outlining a commitment to greater customer convenience and improved service.

As the partnership enters its twelfth year, both organisations intend to strengthen their bancassurance channel and broaden opportunities to serve customers.

Bancassurance brings banking and insurance services together, allowing customers to explore protection options through a familiar financial institution. For households, life insurance can form part of wider financial planning, alongside savings, borrowing and provision for dependants.

The effectiveness of this model depends on more than distribution reach. Clear explanations of policy benefits, exclusions, premiums and claims procedures help customers understand whether a product suits their circumstances. Accessible service also matters throughout the life of a policy.

Against this backdrop, the recognition evening placed attention on the people delivering the partnership’s services, while signalling both organisations’ intention to build on an established relationship and create value for their customers.
