LOLC Holdings Strengthens Strategic Partnership with National Bank of Rwanda

LOLC Holdings PLC has reinforced its expanding footprint in Africa by concluding a high level strategic engagement with the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR), reaffirming its commitment to advancing financial inclusion, sustainable economic development and responsible finance in the East African nation.

The discussions were led by Ishara Nanayakkara, Group Chairman of LOLC Holdings PLC, together with senior representatives of LOLC and the National Bank of Rwanda. The LOLC delegation included Justin Kagishiro, Chief Executive Officer of LOLC Unguka Finance PLC, and Rohana Kumara, Regional Director for Africa. Representing the National Bank of Rwanda were Bernard Nsengiyumva, Executive Director for Financial Stability, alongside senior officials from the regulator.

The meeting focused on LOLC Unguka Finance PLC’s strategic growth plans in Rwanda and the importance of strengthening collaboration between financial institutions and regulators.
