Localising Healthcare: BOC’s Support for Senri Bio Packing & Medicare

Bank of Ceylon takes great pride in backing Senri Bio Packing & Medicare Pvt Ltd, the only manufacturer in Sri Lanka for catheters and infusion sets as the company will start supplying their products for local consumption through Government Medical Supply Division (MSD).

This project is funded by the Business Revival & Rehabilitation unit (BRRU)of Bank of Ceylon and the launch event was held at manufacturing plant in Seeduwa on 11th January 2024 at the presence of former Cabinet Minister, MP Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, as the chief guest.

Representing BOC, Mr. W P Russel Fonseka, General Manager/CEO and Mr. M R N Rohana Kumara, Deputy General Manager Business Revival and Rehabilitation Division, addressed the gathering along with Mr. Sarath Samarakoon, Managing Director, Senri Bio Packing & Medicare Pvt Ltd.

This is an initiative of Sri Lanka Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association (SLPMA) and the Government to enter into Buy Back Agreements with local Pharmaceutical Manufacturers to supply the local demand that will save foreign currency to the country as currently more than 80% of the supply is imported.
