TikTok’s Q2 2024 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report highlights its ongoing efforts to maintain a safe digital space. From April to June 2024, TikTok removed 178.8 million videos, around 1% of all uploaded content. Of these, 144.4 million were detected and removed by automated systems, with a proactive removal rate of 98.2%. The majority of flagged content (93.5%) was taken down within 24 hours, showcasing the platform’s efficiency in addressing harmful material.

The report reveals that 31% of removed videos contained sensitive or mature themes, 15.1% breached safety standards, and 4.7% violated privacy guidelines. TikTok’s moderation systems have also improved, with a 50% reduction in reinstated videos.

TikTok remains committed to transparency, publishing regular enforcement reports and providing detailed information on disrupted Covert Influence Operations. The full report and more insights can be found in TikTok’s Transparency Centre.
