JAAF Welcomes UK’s Liberalised Rules of Origin

Published on

The Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) has welcomed the UK Government’s decision to liberalise rules of origin under the Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS), effective in 2026. The reforms will enable Sri Lankan apparel exporters to benefit from more flexible sourcing while maintaining tariff-free access to the UK. Industry leaders believe the move will strengthen competitiveness, drive export growth, and enhance long-term trade ties between Sri Lanka and the UK.
