US-based InventWood has launched “Superwood,” an engineered material boasting up to ten times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel while being six times lighter. Co-founded by material scientist Liangbing Hu, the innovation enhances natural cellulose fibres, marking a breakthrough in sustainable construction materials and advanced wood technology.
