Hayleys Aventura Introduces Sri Lanka’s First Automated Rotary Parking System

Published on

Hayleys Aventura (Pvt) Ltd., a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, has introduced Sri Lanka’s first outdoor automated rotary parking system, marking a significant milestone in the country’s urban infrastructure and smart mobility landscape. The new system is designed to address the growing shortage of parking space in rapidly developing cities by providing an efficient and secure parking solution.

Commenting on the milestone, Dr Wasaba Jayasekera, Managing Director of Hayleys Aventura and Group Management Committee Member of Hayleys PLC, said the commissioning of the automated rotary parking system represents an important step in supporting the future of sustainable urban development. He noted that innovative engineering solutions would play an increasingly important role as cities continue to expand and land becomes more limited, while improving convenience, safety and efficient land utilisation.

The automated system allows drivers to position their vehicles on a designated platform before the mechanism rotates to bring the next available parking space to ground level. Vehicles are stored securely and can only be retrieved through authorised access, enhancing safety while significantly reducing the space required compared with conventional parking facilities. The retrieval process is completed within a short period, offering motorists a smooth and convenient experience.

The latest installation builds on Hayleys Aventura’s experience in advanced parking technologies, following successful deployments of automated pit puzzle systems, stack parking units and other intelligent parking solutions across Sri Lanka. The company also offers car elevators, turntable solutions and fully automated parking systems, reinforcing its commitment to delivering world class engineering innovations that support smarter, safer and more sustainable cities.
