GS Evo Motors Limited, the authorised distributor of JMEV electric vehicles in Sri Lanka, has officially launched the all new JMEV EWIND, strengthening the country’s growing electric mobility landscape.

The compact electric SUV combines contemporary design, intelligent technology, comfort and safety, targeting motorists seeking a practical transition to electric driving. Its exterior features LED daytime running lights, distinctive LED tail lamps, 19 inch alloy wheels and an aerodynamic silhouette.

Inside, the EWIND offers a spacious cabin with a panoramic moonroof, multifunction steering wheel, ambient lighting, premium finishes and electrically adjustable front seats. The vehicle delivers up to 108 kW of maximum power and 210 Nm of torque, accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds. Depending on the battery configuration, it offers a driving range of up to 610 kilometres under NEDC testing.

Safety technologies include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Assist and Hill Start Assist. The EWIND also incorporates Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, adaptive cruise control, a 360 degree panoramic camera, dual screen digital cockpit and over the air software updates.

Speaking at the launch, GS Evo Motors Limited Chief Executive Officer Priyantha Perera said the introduction represented the company’s vision of making world class electric mobility accessible to Sri Lankan motorists. He said the company remained committed to supporting Sri Lanka’s transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable automotive future.

The JMEV EWIND is now available for viewing and test drives at the GS Evo Motors showroom.
