Global CEO Forum Hosts Exclusive Evening with Reebok Co-Founder Joe Foster in Colombo

The Global CEO Forum successfully hosted an exclusive evening with Joe Foster, Co-Founder of Reebok, at Cinnamon Life, Colombo yesterday, drawing a full house of distinguished business leaders and C-suite executives.

The session commenced with opening remarks by Mr Anura Siriwardena, Chairman of the Global CEO Forum, who outlined the objectives of the special event, emphasising the importance of learning from global icons and inspiring Sri Lankan business leaders to think beyond borders.

The event offered a rare opportunity for Sri Lanka’s corporate community to engage with a global icon who transformed a small family business into a multi-billion-dollar brand. In an insightful and inspiring session, Joe Foster shared his remarkable entrepreneurial journey, reflecting on the challenges faced, pivotal decisions made, and the critical success factors that shaped Reebok’s global rise. He also highlighted the power of marketing, innovation, and resilience in building a brand that resonates across generations.

The evening featured a keynote address by Mr Rajeeva Bandaranaike, CEO of the Colombo Stock Exchange, who spoke on leadership, market confidence, and the evolving role of Sri Lankan enterprises in the global economy.

The panel discussion that followed featured prominent corporate leaders including Mr Ravi Jayawardena, Group CEO of Maliban Group, Dr Harsha N de Silva, Chairman of Navara Capital, and Ms Onalie Dissanayake, Former Country Head of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, adding rich perspectives to the dialogue.

The event marked a significant milestone in fostering global business insights within Sri Lanka’s leadership community.
