EWIS Unveils AI-Powered Platform ‘AEGIS’ to Transform Legacy Systems

Published on

IT industry specialist EWIS has launched ‘AEGIS’, an Artificial Intelligence-powered platform designed to modernise mission-critical legacy systems with greater speed, control, and predictability. The solution, developed in Sri Lanka with a patent pending, introduces a simulation-first approach to enterprise transformation.

Sanjeewa Wickramanayake described AEGIS as a “game changer” for rapid digitalisation, particularly in the public sector. He noted that organisations can now move from uncertainty to control by understanding outcomes before implementation and executing transformation with confidence.

Legacy systems continue to underpin operations across sectors such as banking, telecommunications, healthcare, and Government, yet modernisation remains complex and high-risk. AEGIS addresses this by enabling organisations to analyse, simulate, and validate system changes prior to deployment, reducing disruption and improving decision-making.

Chief Technology Officer Isuru Dissanayake highlighted that the platform combines AI-driven code intelligence, dependency mapping, and digital twin simulation to ensure seamless and reliable transformation.

Engineered for global enterprise adoption, AEGIS is expected to accelerate digital transformation while minimising cost, risk, and operational downtime.
