Elon Musk Moves SpaceX and X HQs from California to Texas

Elon Musk announced on X that he is relocating his companies from California to Texas as reported by Ramishah Maruf for CNN.

SpaceX’s headquarters will move from Hawthorne to Starbase, a company town in southern Texas, while social media platform X will move from San Francisco to Austin. Musk cited California’s SAFETY Act, which prohibits school districts from requiring teachers to inform parents if a child wants to be identified by a different gender, as the “final straw” for the decision.

Musk expressed concerns over violent crime in San Francisco as another reason for the move.
