Prominent tea industry figure and investor Dr. W. Jinadasa has increased his stake in Exterminators PLC to 10.66%, emerging as its second-largest shareholder. The move follows the acquisition of over three million shares via Nestor Stock Brokers, bringing his total holding to 5.6 million shares.
The investment reflects Jinadasa’s strategy to expand his equity portfolio, capitalising on future growth potential. Exterminators’ share price closed at Rs. 16.80, up 3%, with the investor’s average acquisition cost estimated between Rs. 13 and Rs. 14 per share.
As at September 2025, Managing Director Marlon Ferreira held a controlling 57.4% stake, with a public float of 31%.
Exterminators continues to strengthen its market position through innovation, recently unveiling its AI-powered Smart Missile 3G termite control system and a digital Report Factory to enhance operational efficiency.
