Dr Chandranath Amarasekara has been appointed Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, effective 24 October 2025. With over 22 years at CBSL, he brings extensive expertise in monetary policy and macroeconomic research. He previously served at the IMF as Alternate Executive Director.
