Dipped Products PLC (DPL), the Hayleys Group’s glove manufacturer, commenced operations at its new Rs. 4.2 billion manufacturing facility in the Katunayake Export Processing Zone on 8 October 2026.

The plant forms part of DPL’s expansion strategy and is expected to increase production of value-added gloves for export. The investment aims to strengthen Sri Lanka’s high-value rubber exports and support foreign exchange earnings.

DPL operates five manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka and two in Thailand, supported by overseas marketing and distribution operations. Headquartered in Colombo, the company employs more than 18,207 people across its extensive manufacturing and plantation sector operations.
