Business magnate Dhammika Perera is set to acquire a 50% stake in diversified LAUGFS Holdings Ltd. through Vallibel 3, marking a strategic shift from majority control to collaborative partnerships. Perera has already purchased 39% from Co-Founder Thilak De Silva, with the remaining 10% under negotiation, aligning with LAUGFS Chairman W.K.H. Wegapitiya’s vision for growth. LAUGFS, a Group operating in 25 industries across several countries with over 3,500 employees, recently celebrated 30 years. Perera’s move follows acquisitions of East-West Properties and DHT Cement, further expanding his empire spanning Hayleys, Singer, Sampath Bank, and finance companies.
