Channa Gunawardana Takes the Helm at Litro Gas Lanka

Channa Gunawardana has been appointed as the new Chairman of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd. and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka Ltd., marking a significant development in the company’s ongoing mission to ensure an uninterrupted energy supply across Sri Lanka.

Gunawardana brings extensive experience from his previous roles, including CEO and Director of Aitken Spence Garments Ltd. and CEO of Royal Fernwood Porcelain PLC. He also served as Country Manager for Ernst & Young in the Maldives and played a pivotal role in setting up a pioneering manufacturing plant in Africa.

He has held key positions at the Hirdaramani Group, where he was Chief Operating Officer of the Knit Cluster, overseeing 10 manufacturing plants and driving sales and marketing initiatives.

Gunawardana’s leadership has earned him several accolades, including the Hall of Fame for Leadership Excellence 2022 from the Colombo Leadership Academy. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and the Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and is currently pursuing a PhD at the Management and Science University, Malaysia.

Under his leadership, Litro Gas Lanka aims to strengthen its commitment to providing reliable energy solutions for both households and industries across Sri Lanka.
