Central Bank Keeps Policy Rate Unchanged to Support Inflation Target

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka decided to maintain the Overnight Policy Rate at 7.75 per cent, aiming to guide inflation towards 5 per cent. Inflation turned positive in August and is expected to stabilise by mid-2026 amid steady growth and rising domestic demand.
