Boeing Union Rejects ‘Final’ 30% Pay Rise Offer

Boeing’s union, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), has criticised the company’s “best and final” offer of a 30% pay rise over four years, as reported by Peter Hoskins for BBC.

IAM stated that the offer was not negotiated with them, accusing Boeing of bypassing union representatives and sending the proposal directly to members and the media. Over 30,000 Boeing workers went on strike after rejecting a previous 25% pay rise. Boeing’s new offer also includes improved retirement benefits and a one-off bonus, contingent on union approval by 27 September.
