Bank of Ceylon (BOC) continues to earn accolades for its innovative services, the latest being awarded at the esteemed BestWeb.LK Awards 2024. The bank’s website won the titles of ‘Most Popular Banking Website’ and ‘Best Banking Website (Bronze)’, reaffirming BOC’s leadership in digital banking.
The awards ceremony was held at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, where the Chief Marketing Officer, Sameera Liyanage, along with teams from Marketing, IT, and Product Development & Business Process Re-Engineering (BPRP), accepted the honours.
“We are honoured to receive these prestigious awards. Our commitment to delivering a user-friendly, accessible platform that meets the needs of our diverse clientele drives us to continually push the boundaries of digital excellence,” said Liyanage.
BOC’s website, designed to enhance user experience, offers content in all three of Sri Lanka’s official languages—English, Sinhala, and Tamil. It is fully mobile-responsive, catering to over 3.9 million active users annually. Accessibility features, such as font adjustments and screen reader compatibility, ensure inclusivity for all users.
Additionally, the integration of BOC’s branch network and touchpoints with Google Maps provides real-time access to services nationwide.
The BestWeb.LK Awards, organised by the LK Domain Registry, recognise excellence in web design and development. Now in its fourteenth edition, the competition showcases creativity and technical expertise, with public voting playing a key role in the selection process.
