Baurs, a prominent conglomerate in Sri Lanka, recently appointed Nishantha Weerasinghe as Deputy Managing Director alongside Janaka Gunasekera, who retains his position.

Weerasinghe’s tenure in the Healthcare Division saw remarkable growth, with Baurs now among the industry’s top three players, boasting innovative products and partnerships with global healthcare giants. Joining Baurs in 1990, Weerasinghe’s journey from supervisor to director reflects his dedication.

Advocating for ethical practices and adapting to market shifts, he emphasises diversification, foreseeing industry evolution driven by technology. Weerasinghe’s leadership underscores a commitment to excellence, evidenced by his tenure of over 34 years.

Holding an MBA and having completed executive education programs, his strategic vision aligns with Baurs’ trajectory, aiming to leverage synergies across diverse sectors like education.
