Bangladesh Grants VAT Exemption to Boost Export Competitiveness

Bangladesh has exempted value added tax on locally sourced raw materials and services used for exports to enhance competitiveness and support industries after its LDC graduation in 2026, Daily FT reported. The National Board of Revenue clarified that the “Deemed-Export” VAT exemption applies to documented local supplies used for export production.
