Ambeon Capital PLC has announced the appointment of four distinguished professionals to the Board of Harischandra Mills PLC, effective 12 May 2026, signalling a strategic move to reinforce governance, innovation, and long-term business growth.
The newly appointed directors include Dr. Sajeeva Narangoda as Executive Director, alongside Aravinda de Silva, Savanth Sebastian, and Sujeewa Mudalige as Non-Executive and Independent Non-Executive Directors.
Dr. Narangoda brings extensive expertise in corporate leadership, healthcare administration, finance, and capital markets, currently serving as Group CEO/Executive Director of Ambeon Holdings PLC and Ambeon Capital PLC. His international exposure in healthcare governance and research further strengthens the strategic capabilities of the Board.
Former Sri Lankan cricket legend Aravinda de Silva, celebrated globally for his iconic role in Sri Lanka’s 1996 Cricket World Cup victory and his induction into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2023, has also emerged as a respected entrepreneur and investor. Through Arcasia Holdings, he has played a significant role in expanding investments across technology, logistics, real estate, and financial services.
Savanth Sebastian contributes strong expertise in global markets, economic research, and investment strategy gained through senior positions at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, while Sujeewa Mudalige, former Managing Partner of PwC Sri Lanka, brings over three decades of experience in accounting, governance, regulatory affairs, and corporate oversight.
The appointments are expected to enhance Harischandra Mills PLC’s strategic direction while reinforcing Ambeon’s broader ambitions in investment, digital transformation, and diversified business growth across Sri Lanka and international markets.
