33-Year-Old Longevity Clinic Owner Claims to Have Reversed Her Biological Age by 11 Years

Published on

According to Business Insider reporter Serafina Kenny, Kayla Barnes-Lentz, a 33-year-old longevity clinic owner and podcaster based in Los Angeles, claims that biohacking has helped her reverse her biological age to 22.

Barnes-Lentz, who aims to live to 150, follows a range of experimental treatments to optimise her health. Her approach to biohacking includes cold plunges, vibration plates, and breathing hydrated air. However, she emphasises two primary biohacks: sleep and red light therapy.

“Sleep is the foundation of health,” she told Business Insider, explaining that maintaining a consistent sleep schedule enhances energy levels, focus, and motivation. She and her husband, Warren Lentz, prioritise sleep hygiene, going to bed at 8:30 p.m. and avoiding phone use in bed.

Her second key biohack, red light therapy, is integrated into her morning sauna routine. She believes it boosts mitochondrial function, potentially improving energy levels. While some studies suggest red light therapy could enhance skin appearance and reduce inflammation, more research is needed to confirm its effectiveness.

Barnes-Lentz’s approach reflects a growing trend in the wellness industry, where individuals invest in cutting-edge, sometimes unproven, health optimisation strategies.
