Noel Tata Takes Helm of Tata Trusts Following Brother’s Legacy

Following the death of Ratan Tata, his half-brother, Noel Tata, has been appointed the new chairperson of Tata Trusts, the philanthropic arm of the Tata Group, which holds a 66% stake in Tata Sons.

At 67, Noel Tata brings extensive experience, serving on various boards, including Tata Trusts. He is the chairman of Tata International, Voltas, and Tata Investment Corporation, as well as vice-chairman of Tata Steel and Titan Company. He also leads Trent Limited, a highly successful retail arm of the group. During his leadership of Tata International from 2010 to 2021, the company’s revenue grew from $500m to over $3bn.

Noel Tata expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and is committed to continuing the legacy of his brother and the group’s philanthropic efforts.
