Inspired by a chance encounter with President J.R. Jayewardene, Mr. Karunaratna embarked on a mission to become an exporter and earn the respect of magnanimous personalities. His determination and entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish ADI Group, a leading exporter in the region, and later, OTTO Bathware, a renowned manufacturer of sanitary ware.

Through perseverance and strategic vision, Mr. Karunaratna has expanded his business to export decorative ceramics to 50 countries, employing over 350 staff and serving over 600 customers nationwide. His astute management skills and prudent decision-making have earned him recognition, including prestigious awards such as the President’s Gold Award for Best Exporter and the National Business Excellence Award.
