Google Parent Company Alphabet Eyes $23 Billion Acquisition of Wiz

Published on

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is in advanced discussions to acquire cybersecurity startup Wiz for approximately $23 billion, according to a source familiar with the matter, as reported by Matt Egan and Jordan Valinsky for CNN.

This potential acquisition would be Google’s largest to date and represents a major investment in cybersecurity. Discussions began after Wiz raised $1 billion from venture capital investors earlier this year. The deal is not yet finalized and could still fall through. The Wall Street Journal first reported the news, and neither Google nor Wiz responded to CNN’s requests for comment.
