Union Bank has completed the third phase of its National Entrepreneurship Development Programme (NEDP), conducted in partnership with the University of Moratuwa and the National Innovation Agency.
A certification ceremony at the University of Moratuwa recognised participants who completed the programme, with representatives of all three partner institutions attending.
Union Bank Chief Business Officer Asanka Ranhotty presented a certificate to a participant in the presence of Dr Gayithri Kuruppu, Dean of the university’s Faculty of Business.
The initiative attracts aspiring entrepreneurs and emerging business owners, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and innovative thinking required to build sustainable enterprises.
Through the NEDP, Union Bank continues its support for small and medium enterprise development in Sri Lanka, working alongside academic and innovation partners to strengthen entrepreneurial capabilities.
The third phase marks another stage in the partnership’s efforts to equip business owners with capabilities relevant to establishing and developing their own enterprises.
