iPay Business, powered by LOLC Finance, has launched “Wyapara Balaganwayi”, a proposition designed to simplify digital payment acceptance and support the growth of Sri Lankan enterprises.
The initiative brings together payment solutions for entrepreneurs, start-ups, small and medium enterprises and established businesses. Merchants can register through the iPay Business App without visiting a branch, subject to applicable onboarding requirements.
Tap & Pay enables merchants to accept contactless card payments through NFC-enabled smartphones. Businesses requiring terminals can use HardPOS, which supports card and QR payments alongside transaction records, automatic settlement and Pay by Link.
The platform also accommodates LankaQR, UPI, Alipay+, WeChat Pay and UnionPay, helping merchants serve local customers and international visitors.
Local LankaQR transactions below Rs. 5,000 attract zero commission, subject to terms and conditions. Online businesses can access an Internet Payment Gateway without monthly, annual or ongoing fixed charges.
Kalhara Gamage, Head of iPay, said the proposition aims to place practical digital capabilities within reach of Sri Lankan businesses, helping entrepreneurs accept payments, understand their operations and access tools for growth.
Conrad Dias, Chairman of LOLC Finance PLC and LOLC Technologies Ltd. and Founder of iPay, said the launch advances the vision of a digital business ecosystem.
He outlined plans to incorporate analytics, transaction intelligence, human resource tools, accounting, financial management and artificial intelligence insights over time.
Through the launch, iPay Business aims to become a technology partner that supports payment acceptance today while helping enterprises strengthen decision-making and prepare for sustainable growth in an increasingly digital economy.
